the john Boehner record
Congressional profile
Voters listening to John Boehner's campaign
rhetoric might conclude that he's a conservative,
but he's successfully pulled the wool over their
eyes, as his record in Congress says something
else. According to
GovTrack, a
watchdog group seeking transparency in
government, Boehner is identified as a
"moderate" who has more than 100 representatives
to the right of him. In other words, the
standard Republican Establishment
"conservative." And he's not particularly
effective, either. Since 1991 of 63 bills he's
sponsored only 10 have passed and a whopping 46
never made it out of committee! (Click

Rep. John Boehner's Top 10 Worst Votes
From
sponsoring the "No child left behind" bill
strengthening Federal control of education and
supporting legislation that encourages illegal
immigration to opposing bills that give churches
more voice in politics and cap U.S. funding to
the United Nations, Boehner's been on the wrong
side of some significant votes. Here's Human
Events' Top Ten list.

U.S. National
Debt Clock
America is awash in a sea of red ink thanks to
profligate spending in Washington. The National
Debt Clock charts the "progress" in real time
and the results will make your head swim. What
has "conservative" John Boehner done to reduce
the size of the gargantuan Federal Government
and thus the national debt? Not a whole lot. In
fact, like most Republicans he really likes big
government, just not quite as much as the
Democrats. What time is it? Time for some real change in the 8th District!
